Who's behind Knights of the Order?

Marcus De Blanquefortâ„¢ and Knights of the Order are trading names of Knights of the Order of the Temple Limited (Co. No. 15868245), a community interest company (registration pending) run by trustees and members from all walks of life who have a vested interest in promoting social skills and awareness, across all age groups, through acts of kindness and collaborative behaviours such as charity, humility, courage, integrity & loyalty. Our motto is; "it's cool to be kind". Through kindness, we hope to make people's lives a little brighter and the world a little better for our next generations.

Order of the Temple sounds a bit religious. Do you promote any religion?

No. Although our name is derived from the traditions of medieval chivalric orders such as the Order of the Temple, we are strictly non-religious in our approach. This then allows us to work with everyone, from all cultures and backgrounds. Equality and diversity is very important to us so it is equally important that, although we accept and respect people may have their own religious beliefs, we don't allow those beliefs to be forced onto others.

How do I know my child will be safe using this site or working with your organisation?

No matter what method of contact our volunteers have with children, whether that is in person or online, we will have done thorough background checks on everyone in our organisation, including regular enhanced DBS searches to ensure they are suitable and safe to work with children.  We actively monitor and supervise all engagements with children under the age of 18 against robust safeguarding and privacy policies.

How are you funded? Do people get paid?

We are funded through donations, grants and fundraising activities. Our organisation is run purely by unpaid volunteers, including trustees and directors, although we do pay incurred expenses.
